Refined Previous Idea

this idea i think more about practical.
Design a public bench making people feel comfortable, functional, innovation, and universal.
because my design environment is in circular quay, or other places like harbor or along the coast.
i combined the elements from opera house and harbor bridge to make this bench suitable for Sydney and other seaside citys.
the features of this bench compare to the previous design.

1. add armrest for elder people
2. make the edges harmless for people
3.flat the seat surface
4.during the summer season, using wood material as bench top that can reduce the heat.
5.using the shape of the bench to make a bike locking space instead of using extra material to make a bike racks.
6.more esthetic than the previous design
7. suitable for smaller spaces
8.easy to manufacture and install for workers
9.suitable for mass production and different city to use, even though for different countries.

Green Gifting Final Product

Rational

This big smile photo frame spread love and happiness to others, grass is a great green plant, and it’s easy to grow, the grass seeds in the photo frame, after watering it will grow up. Planting and shaving the grass head is the funniest thing, people can make their own style for their lovers. People can have fun with it. The instruction is very easy, just take out the frame from the packaging and put your funny picture in it, and then pack it up as a gift give to someone you love, after they watering it, the soil absorb enough water and the grass will grow up very quickly.
This product especially designed for young people, friends, couple or someone closest. It’s a pretty fun, interesting, hilarious journey. When people put your photo on the table and grow the grass, on side it can bring them healthy, on the other side it can bring them happiness.
The receiver should take care of the plant, but even though forgot to watering, but the grass can come out next time, people don’t have to change a new one, grass has the strongest life. It’s easier and more convince for people without any trouble.
The material can be used is ceramic and ABS clear plastic, for the ceramic material, factory can use injection moulding system in order to mass production. For the ABS clear plastic, it’s more modern and beautiful, factory can cut parts all in one single board in order to save materials.
The reason why I choose this form is because two side photo frame is more useful than single side, because material is same. This shape is based on the ceramic, make it elegant just as one whole shape.
The reason why this product is better than the others is because it’s more useful in real, for example, normally, photo frame is meaningful and memorable. We put it on the desk and look at the people we love, but along the way of time, people may tired about it, because there no reaction or connection between product and people. Another example is someone one like plant, but there living space is too small or they don’t have that kind of skill, people want to have a plant at home or office, but afraid of they can’t take good care of it. So, they may give up. However, with this product people will experience an interaction between product and human. That’s pretty interesting, isn’t it?
