Video Refectiong C - Big ideas that changed the world (Consumerism)

How big ideas that changed the world? How these ideas affect human behavior? These questions are thinking in my mind after I watching this video, human history and human cultural are very complex questions from the oldest civilization to the present, so many things have changed without any signal. It seems like a mimic music playing and you getting closer and closer to hear what’s playing. Every steps you getting closer the more world you will be seen. Exactly like the faction quotation, today you are in and tomorrow you are out.

Human cultural and behavior just like this way always trying to catch something, instead of living something. After the second WW, the world is now living peace, people enjoying their life, and life enjoying the people, we creating huge amount of consumption in order to make our life better and even though the wishes are all done, but in next day you want more. People can’t satisfied with any of the products, that’s all because consumerism.

Like the technology things, today I ‘m buying a new fancy computer but tomorrow you are out, after one year, the second generation comes out, that is the reason we never can’t catch up. More and more natural resource used by making consumer goods, more and more environment destroy by human believing, which is monetary policy. People don’t care about the environmental forces and regard signals from it. What we are doing today surly will be troubling us tomorrow. When we hearing the ad selling big ideas in the shopping mall, when we seeing down price crossing the street, when the mimic became to be a loud industrial noise, we should stop and back ward everyone knows that at the back of loud noise, it is the signal from the earth. As an industrial designer we should develop green product, in order to change the human behavior step by step. You know what, sometimes life easier, is not a technology slogan but a true meaning of life.
